On Sunday, 25 June from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Lower Saxony Chamber of Architects’ Day of Architecture will take place.
_____
Climate protection and sustainability, conversion and building in the existing fabric: these are the themes that will be in the foreground during 2023. In 48 locations throughout Lower Saxony and Bremen, a total of 107 objects will be open to those interested in architecture. The Kunsthaus Göttingen has also been selected.
The architects and client representatives who planned, accompanied and realised the construction of the Kunsthaus will be offering guided tours of the building and the outdoor space at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, 25 June. So if you have always been interested in the special architecture of the building, you shouldn’t miss this!
The meeting point is at the main entrance at Düsteren Str. 7. In addition, visitors can of course also visit the current exhibition by artist Jim Dine, “Storm of Memory”.
In addition to the Kunsthaus Göttingen, the Forum Kirche und Diakonie in Neustadt, the Sartorius Quartier, the Lütjen Steinsweg daycare centre in Grone and the new building of the Volksheimstätte will also be shown to interested visitors. “The fact that five Göttingen projects have been selected is a great signal from the Lower Saxony Chamber of Architects,” emphasises Frithjof Look, the city’s building officer.
