Art, film, party: let yourself be moved by the power of art and music in the resistance against injustice during the apartheid era and for global justice today. On April 23rd, the Kunsthaus in cooperation with EPIZ (Entwicklungspolitisches Informationszentrum Göttingen) organizes an action evening around South Africa.
Starting at 5 pm, an extensive program awaits you:
5 pm Art exhibition “From South Africa”
Santu Mofokeng, William Kentridge, Banele Khoza. Guided tour of the exhibition. (Kunsthaus)
6 pm Film screening “AMANDLA!”
Documentary (2002, OV) about the role of music in the resistance against apartheid. Discussion afterwards. (Kunsthaus)
8 pm Snack and Schnack
South African food and wine bar “trink!ich”. (Kunsthaus)
From 9:30 pm South African Music-Party at Monro’s Park.
80ties / 90ties Hip Hop, Boogie, Kwaito, Bubblegum with DJ Häppy/Vinyl Reserve. (Monro’s Park)
