Children big and small can celebrate their birthdays at Kunsthaus Göttingen. After a little discovery tour through the exhibition on a specific theme and with lots of little art-themed games, the birthday guests will then experience the magic of a chosen artistic technique. They’ll try things out, experiment and tinker, and ultimately produce their own artworks to take home. Be it print graphics, animated film or photography: there’s something for every taste.

In the print workshop you’ll learn many different and special techniques and learn how artists used to work and how they work today. According to the themes of the exhibition, we will freely create our own stamps and small printing plates, which will we then of course try out directly. Each child can design their own cotton bag to take home with them.
150 € for 3 hours, maximum 10 children and 2 adults

Photo workshop

The photo workshop explores the very old technique previously used to produce photos: the blueprint technique. We use household objects to try and create abstract photographs or use a sharpie to design a film any way we feel like it, which we then expose. After we have experimented at length, we take a snapshot of the children’s birthday group and create a unique memory to take home with us.
150 € for 3 hours, maximum 10 children and 2 adults

Animation film workshop

The animated film workshop makes the actual impossible possible. After taking inspiration on various themes in the exhibition, we will work together to produce little animated films using different materials. We have a go with plasticine, paint, sand and much more to create curious short films that can be pleasingly abstract.
150 € for 3 hours, maximum 10 children and 2 adults
