Access via the main entrance is at ground level. All exhibition rooms within the building and a disabled toilet can be accessed via a spacious elevator. To provide orientation for the visually impaired there are directions in braille in the stairwell and in the lift. The inner courtyard with the “House of Words” is also fully accessible. We will be happy to provide you with a portable folding stool for your visit. Accompaniment by trained assistance dogs is permitted in the Kunsthaus, however prior registration is required. Public disabled parking spaces can be found on Hospitalstraße (near the junction with Nikolaistraße).
The Kunsthaus is located in the southern part of downtown Göttingen. Düstere Strasse directly joins Groner Strasse, which leads to the pedestrian area.
Düstere Strasse is closed to private traffic. The closest place to park is at the public multi-storey car park and the Hospitalstrasse car park. Public disabled parking spaces are available on Hospitalstrasse (near the junction with Nikolaistrasse).
Via the ring road (Bürgerstrasse / Berliner Strasse) it is possible to access other car parks that offer sufficient parking around the city centre and are within walking distance.
